New issues and challenges continue to arise for staffing firms and other employers with respect to COVID-19 and workplace health and safety. More and more companies, including staffing firm clients, are requiring that employees be vaccinated, and COVID-19 has recently been designated as an airborne infectious disease under the NYS HERO Act, thus triggering the obligation of employers to activate their airborne infectious disease exposure prevention plans. This program will cover mandatory employee vaccination policies, including NYC’s Key to NYC vaccine mandate, and legal exceptions thereto, reasonable accommodation obligations, communicating with clients and candidates regarding vaccination status and workplace safety, compliance with the NYS HERO Act, and more.
